Good Morning Everyone!
A quick update for you…
Today is Pastor Jonnie’s birthday!!!
Feb 4th
He is such a blessing to all of us, and we are very thankful for him!
So… tonight, after church, we are inviting everyone back to our house for some refreshments. Service usually gets over around 8:30… then by the time everything gets packed up, it’s approx 9 – 9:15. Many times, a big group of people will go over to McDonalds for fellowship, so instead, please come over & help us celebrate Pastor Jonnie’s birthday!
Don’t feel like you have to stay late, just pop in for a while!
** Don’t forget the upcoming convention in MD – Feb 17th – 20th If you are able to go, would you mind letting us know? If you need a room at the church, there is still time for that as well!
** Exciting things are happening at the church! Pastor has started working on the front room, in preparation for the new Youth Church area.
We are very excited to start “re-development” of our Sunday morning classes! We feel that this will not only be a blessing to the parents (both current parents, and those still to come), but the children will also greatly benefit. We see the need for expansion in this area, and are looking forward to it. Although we know that this is only the beginning and that we will need further expansion in the future, we want to use what we have available to us right now.
There will be an opening for all different types of service:
– artistic people
– those that are good with arts/crafts
– puppet ministry
– singing
– reading stories
– helpers
– actors
– etc.
If you feel that you would like to serve in the children’s dept. in any way, please let us know.
I can tell you…. after MANY years of serving in the children’s dept. in our church… it is a true blessing!
